Someone wise once said, "Don't concern yourself with something that's already in the past; accept it and move on."
The quote is exactly what it means; get over it. Everyone has a problem with something that's going on around them whether it's politics or other people. If everyone abides by this quote, the world would be so much simpler. Current problems such as gay marriage can easily be solved if people would just allow same-sex marriage, gay marriage has been around for a long time and it's never going away just because some politicians won't allow it to be legal. Teenagers can relate to this; gossip is widespread among high school and obviously, it won't go away either. Things in the past belong in the past, bad problems should be forgotten. There is no time to worry about what happened in the past and it would be easier to forget about it. It's stupid to know that people are bothered by something that cannot be changed, instead, they can adjust and learn from problems; it'll only make them stronger.

Someone once said, "I want to stay as close to the edge as I can without going over. Out on the edge you see all kinds of things you can't see from the center."
Living life on the safe side does not always mean living the correct way. I believe that in order for a person to fully experience life, they have to be able to live on the "wild" side.Living on the wild side means doing things that are out of your zone of comfort, things that you usually won't do unless you're threatened to do. All great writers, poets, and performers can't always derive their work from their boring normal experiences; getting out and doing crazy reckless things are the best ways to have the perfect stroke of genius needed to create the next great piece of work.

"We are what we pretend to be, so we must be careful what we pretend to be" - Kurt Vonnegut
Have you ever felt that there is a discrepancy between who you know you are and who people think you are? Deep inside you know you are not like that. We start every day by putting on a mask of invincibility and success. This is what gets us through the day alive and in one piece both physically and emotionally. But if we wear the mask at all times, if everyone knows us as the person in the mask, doesn't it become the real you? Have you ever tried convincing someone that you are not like that? Not who they think you are? It's almost impossible, it takes years, sometimes even a lifetime. A reputation develops by the specified individual themselves, actions lead to reactions. The better the actions of the person are, the better the reputation; thus allowing the "mask" to become the real image emulated from the person. Kurt Vonnegut's quote relates greatly to the modern 21st century teenager. Teenagers are the most susceptible to victims of a bad reputation; rumors and lies are spread all the time. It is more beneficial for for a teenager to not pretend to be something they are not, all secrets come out eventually.

Why do we exist?

An unknown individual once said, "If the creator of life were questioned on his actions, not even he can answer."
Mankind ever since the beginning of time have tried to find the inner workings of everything, we cannot stop wondering or developing questions about everything. Many well-respected intellectual people have tried to come up with a reason as to why we exist in this world, but a clear reasonable answer cannot be fabricated. Life is a vast and complex subject, it is a level of complexity that almost lies outside our grasp of comprehension; it is so far beyond anything we have any hope of understanding that we just think of it as a different class of object. Many scientists have tried to -and claimed- that they have "found" the meaning of life. In reality, life itself is such a vast otherworldly matter that one cannot develop an answer. Many theories suggest the reasons as to why us human beings exist. Throughout history, many have asked, "Why do we exist?". This particular question can never be answered correctly; there is no possible way to prove the theories anyone can come up with to be true or false. One single person alone cannot hope to discover an answer. The answer can either be extremely simple or extremely complex. At the end of the day, it is pointless to search for answer as to why we live, in fact, the answer is probably just to "live". You only live once, as far as anyone knows, why waste such a precious lifetime wondering why you have life. The life cycle has been the same ever since the beginning: you are born, you live, you die. Three simple steps of life and it should not be wasted. Go out and live your life without worrying why you have life; time should not be wasted sitting around making up pointless theories. The answer may not be what people are looking for, it may terrify us.
