An unknown individual once said, "If the creator of life were questioned on his actions, not even he can answer."
Mankind ever since the beginning of time have tried to find the inner workings of everything, we cannot stop wondering or developing questions about everything. Many well-respected intellectual people have tried to come up with a reason as to why we exist in this world, but a clear reasonable answer cannot be fabricated. Life is a vast and complex subject, it is a level of complexity that almost lies outside our grasp of comprehension; it is so far beyond anything we have any hope of understanding that we just think of it as a different class of object. Many scientists have tried to -and claimed- that they have "found" the meaning of life. In reality, life itself is such a vast otherworldly matter that one cannot develop an answer. Many theories suggest the reasons as to why us human beings exist. Throughout history, many have asked, "Why do we exist?". This particular question can never be answered correctly; there is no possible way to prove the theories anyone can come up with to be true or false. One single person alone cannot hope to discover an answer. The answer can either be extremely simple or extremely complex. At the end of the day, it is pointless to search for answer as to why we live, in fact, the answer is probably just to "live". You only live once, as far as anyone knows, why waste such a precious lifetime wondering why you have life. The life cycle has been the same ever since the beginning: you are born, you live, you die. Three simple steps of life and it should not be wasted. Go out and live your life without worrying why you have life; time should not be wasted sitting around making up pointless theories. The answer may not be what people are looking for, it may terrify us.
You make a good point about not knowing why exist in this world. There is no point in trying to figure it out because there is no answer. You will end up in an endless cycle of question that will not be answer. I really like your post because it goes in deep in the question of why do we exist.

DeleteYes, it is true that you only live once, but I do not believe that it is a waste of time searching for the meaning of life. Have you ever heard of the hackneyed saying, "there's a reason for everything?" Well, I happen to follow that ideology. If there is a reason for everything, then what is the reason for possessing a life? I'm not saying that I will eternally search for the meaning of my existence, but I think we should at least try to understand the meaning of our creation in this world.
ReplyDeleteBy the way, it'll be fun to tamper the cycle of life. I wonder what would happen.
I enjoyed reading your point of view on the matter. I like how you talked about why we shouldn't waste our time figuring out life and I also liked how you argued with the subquote and used the main quote to defend your point of view. Your advice on not worrying and just living is great as well.
ReplyDeleteYour post was very thought provoking, many a time has the question of humanities existence proved highly problematic to the human train of thought. We need to rationalize everything, there has to be a logical reason for the inner workings of anything we can physically think of and It's against human nature to become baffled by an idea. The question of existence however, will always create the anxiety felt inside when there is no real logical excuse for phenomena. It will always be opinion based in the end and I think that's all that really matters, your post was very interesting.

ReplyDeleteVery intresting topic and I enjoyed hearing your position on the matter. Yeah I partially agree that we shouldn't waste our life in pure pursuit for the meaning of life, but I also believe that that is something that we as the human race can't help to do. I view human beings as being curious creature and because of this trait we have evolved to be the way we are. Because of this thought of "why do we exist?", I believe this is where the formations of religions began to be created, to help solve the question of how we came to be, but that's a whole another subject. Good job, looking forward to more post!!!
DeleteThis blog really made me reflect on how precious life really is. It's crazy how we take it for granted every day and worry about the little things when we have such limited time. Life can be gone so fast, but I completely agree with you when you say we should just "live our lives". Maybe looking for the purpose in life is not a complete waste of time, but it is absolutely necessary to use our time wisely.
